SCH 3U Library - Referencing and Research Need Topic and 3 credible references for Friday Formal Lab due Friday
SNC1P Hand in all homework from yesterday Mitosis - activity Mitosis - note Mitosis - reasons for HMK: Activity p. 139 textbook
ms wiens, on our last formal lab the precision on the electronic balances were off by 0.05 g in either direction. I was curios to know if that was the same case in this lab or if it was a different number?
the whole problem we have is group work. some ppl just cannt go along wit others. we should have picked our own partners bcuz some ppl cant be trusted and expected to work. my partner and i have the same result(three masses). i finnished the whole report with those 3 # and my partner blamed me for sharing enough info with him. ms wiens next time that would b better for me if you let me pick my own partner. its not me who problems wit group work look at wht trim says.
Mamooud..... I am trying to give you a head's up because when i checked the numbers i realized we made a mistake (or should i say I made a mistake because you didn't know how to do any calculations what so ever) but if u like, next time i won't tell you and leave you oblivious to the errors on your paper because you didn't have the foresight to check the work.
The only thing you need to rely on your lab partner is for assisting you in completing the lab safely - NOT the write up.
I offered you time in class with your partner to assist each other with the lab write up but you were to each complete it on your own. You are not responsible for your lab partner's lab write up - only your own.
In life you will need to work with people that you do not like or cannot rely on - you need to get used to it. In this lab your mark does NOT depend on your partner, only on your personal performance.

do we have to write "ways to improve"
in our lab?

The precision was different because the balance was different - review your precision notes.
It is always a good idea to include "ways to improve" in a formal report.
Ms. Weins, would a source of error that is out of our control be the percision of the electrical balance?
Yes, the precision of the electronic balance which you must specify is beyond your control
What do we need to include in our discussion (someone please help me)

Here man...
Include in your DISCUSSION section (in paragraph form) the answers to Q's 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9
Ed.A
can we write our calculations in pencil for this lab like we did the other one?
ohh by the way, if we were to do a "ways to improve" in our lab like Suketu said, where would we put this?
Calculations can be written in pencil within the text of the lab (not on a separate sheet) or typed up within the body of the lab.
Ways to improve would go in the Discussion section.
ms, this is wat my partner told someone to tell me through msn.....
"Sarah says:
tell him Abdul kareem his chem partner said that he needs to meet with him in the library tomorrow at 8 AM or he will fail the lab!"
so he made changes in the lab n wants to tell me about it TWENTY MINUTES before class.... >.>
