Bonus Assignment Offered -
Lenovo has announced a very interesting contest for students age 14-18. Contest closes on December 7th.
The list of judges is quite impressive...as are the prizes!
Your experiment, 250 miles above Earth, for the world to see. What will you do?
We're asking you to come up with a science experiment for space and upload a video explaining it to YouTube.
If your idea wins, it will be performed on the International Space Station and live streamed on YouTube to the world. an plants survive beyond the Earth? Could proteins in space reveal the mysteries of life? Science in micro gravity can help unlock the answers.

Do we have to color in our diagrams of the ecosystems

Lianna Miller said...

is this ecosystem lab a formal or informal lab?

MsWiens said...

The sketch does not have to be coloured. The bar graph should have a separate pattern or separate colour for ecosystem one and ecosystem 2. If you are describing a plant with coloured flowers it is easiest to colour the diagram of it.

This is a formal lab report.

For materials can we refer to the text for the whole question.

I cannot access the online text book, when I click on the link it redirects me to a page that says, "Oops! Internet Explorer could not find mynelsonscience.com".
Am I the only one with this problem?

MsWiens said...

No, I would like you to list the materials you used. The textbook has materials we didn't use and we used things the textbook doesn't list either.

I'm having the same problem right now. Perhaps too many people are doing their assignments last minute instead of a week ago when it was assigned. Try again in an hour. Need be, I will type out the discussion questions in a post.

Hi, i have a question about the lab report. I have finished it, but i have a nagging question. do we have to make a food web for each ecosystem? Or one which just includes both?

do we have to draw the food web or can we use pictures from the internet

MsWiens said...

You have to create a food web for each ecosystem.

You can use pictures from the internet for the species but must create your own web with arrows.
