Hot Chocolate Morning - thanks Student Parliament
Sorry there are no pictures today - camera battery died after taking pictures of the Hot Chocolate Morning.
Period 2
Handed in FSE Orange Sheet with parent signature and project choice, progress reports signed, and homework
Reviewed Electrical Concepts (some of them) covered to date - students made their own notes as needed
Experimented and summarized the effect on current of adding additional loads (series current decreases, parallel current increases as additional loads are added)
Groups came up with reasons why ammeters are wired in series and voltmeters are measured in parallel based on the definitions of voltage (potential difference) and current (electrical current).
Discussed Quiz Tuesday
HMK
Work on FSE's
Do Practice Electricity Test (to the right - do only the questions we've covered so far in class)
QUIZ Tuesday - building based on electrical diagrams
Tuesday is also FSE day - be prepared to work on your FSE for the double period
Period 3
Reviewed material covered on Wednesday and identified who had missing assignments and what they needed to complete still
Work from Wednesday handed back and some was redone in class (if you have work to redo and didn't get it done in class it is for homework tonight)
Reviewed static and current electricity. Discussed Current and Voltage and used ammeters and voltmeters to learn to read the meters and compare how they are different in series versus parallel circuits.
HMK
Circuit Building Quiz Monday - discussed how it will be marked in class today (given circuit diagram and students must build it exactly, students also need to know how to read ammeters and voltmeters)
Any work that was not completed in class
Try the practice test quetions under electricity review (about 2/3 of material covered so far in class - so some of the questions on the practice test we haven't learned yet but we will)
Period 4
Same as period 2

Hello Ms. Wiens, it's Ana.
I am doing a lab report for my FSE project and I have chosen an expiriment. I would like to ask you if it is doable, and how would you suggest I do it?
Expiriment:(Summarized)
Is magentic force produced only by magnets?
You need:
a 4.5 volt battery
copper wire
piece of card
scissors
Iron Fillings
Cut two holes in the cardboard 10 cm apart. Cut a piece of copper wire about 30 cm long and thread them through the card. THen wind the ends around the battery contacts. Sprinkle the cars with iron fillings.
(observations, etc etc)
