for the lab report do we have to do a qualitative observation? If so what is it?
For the self evaluation do we just print of a rubric and mark are selves and leave comments?
ms for the quiz tomorrow is there like any kind of question where you have to know the name of the element in the periodic table?
A qualitative observation is one with no numbers.
Ex. The subjects appeared tired after 2 trials.
Yes, print a rubric and mark yourself based on what you think you earned.
No, you don't have to memorize the periodic table. You will be given a black and white version for the quiz and for the final exam, but you do need to know how to use it and which elements are in which group - example which elements are the halogens, etc.
ms.wiens for the fse is there a specific font size for ecologically friendly house? is it ok if i use calibri size 12?

So you have to use no written numbers all through the lab report then right?
For the lab report, do you have to write the analysis in past tense, third person as well?
No, you definitely need numbers. Numerical observations are quantitative and are usually recorded in a data table. Qualitative observations are often just written in a few sentences below a data table.
Calibri 12 is fine.
If you can write the discussion in third past tense it is best to do so when possible, but if not, it is not mandatory.
So a qualitative observation is just a summary of the data table?
Qualitative is other observations about your experiment that are not related to numerical observations.
Where would u put the qualitative observations?
In the observation section uderneath the data table in a short paragraph of their own.
