Monday

See the post on the weekend for a list of review videos and websites. Be sure to complete both practice Ecology Tests on the right hand side.

Note: Mark Updates are now posted online by code name for Period 1 and 2. Period 4 will be included in the next week after presentations have been completed. Your code name is found at the top of your mark update sheet from last week.

I am experimenting with Google Calendar - link to the right and right now embedded into this post. Please let me know what you think of this any time and if it is worth it to keep going. Ignore the times, the assignments apply to all 3 classes unless otherwise specified.

TOMORROW = IN CLASS ASSESSMENT:
Each student will be given a choice of 7 questions and are required to answer 2, each in a short essay format with a clear introduction and conclusion and at least 8 points supporting their ideas.  Each question will be marked out of 10. The objective being to see how a student can critically think about an issue and put together a written response given all available resources. Students will be given 50 minutes to complete this task.

Students will be allowed to use all their class materials - including THEIR OWN notes, textbooks, the internet (laptops will be available or students may use their own devices). Students may type or hand-write their answers (grammar and spelling will be evaluated). Students may also write notes to one another or text each other. However at no point, are they allowed to share/show each other their answers. If two students end up with the same key points for their essay, they will both get zero.
